Inyarek Partners launches Guardian Propane with acquisition of F.A. Days & Sons
Inyarek Partners launched Guardian Propane Partners (Guardian Propane), an operator-led propane platform created to partner with locally owned propane companies in key regions of the United States.
Guardian Propane acquired F.A. Days & Sons, a provider of propane and heating oil to the Outer Cape of Massachusetts for more than 55 years, establishing Guardian’s foundational platform investment.
Blue Peak Resources, a merger and acquisitions consulting firm, announced the sale of F.A. Days & Sons.
“I’m incredibly excited about this next chapter and the momentum ahead,” says Michael Enos, third-generation leader of F.A. Days & Sons, who will play an expanding role in the business. “I’ve learned an incredible amount from my father over the years – his leadership has shaped how I approach this business – and it’s an honor to help carry his legacy forward.”
Community cornerstone
Founded more than 55 years ago, F.A. Days & Sons has delivered energy solutions across the Outer Cape, including the communities of Provincetown, Truro, Wellfleet, Eastham and Orleans.
Chris Enos, owner and president of F.A. Days & Sons, credited Andy Hino and John Armentano of Blue Peak Resources for guiding his company through the process.
“Andy was an invaluable facilitator, guiding us every step of the way. John found a company in Guardian Propane that not only matched our values, but also immediately recognized the experience, relationships and leadership my son Michael brings to the business and the important role he will play in driving future growth on the Cape,” Chris Enos says.
Armentano, partner at Blue Peak Resources, adds, “I couldn’t be more pleased that Chris put his trust in Blue Peak Resources. The family ran a first-class operation in a strong, growing market. As Guardian Propane’s foundational position in the southern Massachusetts market, I’m confident their collaborative approach with Chris, Michael and the Enos family will continue to build upon F.A. Days & Sons’ strong reputation on the Cape, ensuring the Enos family’s legacy will live on for years to come.”
Blue Peak Resources acted as the facilitator and negotiator in the sale of F.A. Days & Sons. The team provided financial valuations, prepared a business offering package for potential buyers and assisted in negotiations to finalize the deal terms.
Guardian Propane names CEO
In connection with the platform’s launch, Jordan Landrum has been appointed CEO of Guardian Propane. Landrum brings more than two decades of propane industry experience, having started his career as a delivery driver before progressing through local operations, regional leadership and senior executive leadership roles.
“Guardian Propane was built around the belief that the best operators in this industry win because of their people, their culture and the trust they earn every day in their communities,” says Landrum. “Our role is to stand behind those local teams with capital, resources and operating support that reinforce what already works well, while positioning their businesses for the next decade of growth and succession.”
In addition to Inyarek’s equity sponsorship of Guardian, Tecum Capital provided debt capital and minority equity to support the transaction and Guardian’s growth strategy.
