NPGA Benchmarking Council facilitator sought

February 2, 2009 By

The National Propane Gas Association (NPGA) Benchmarking Council is conducting a nationwide search for a skilled facilitator for one of its seven discussion groups.

The Benchmarking Council is rooted in the NPGA’s tradition of advancing the industry to a higher level of efficiency, customer service, employee practices and safety.

Business improvement is founded on a propane marketer’s ability to measure their own performance to their peers so that opportunities for improvement are identified and implemented. Leading propane marketers also recognize that one of the best sources of new ideas come from fellow marketers who have grappled with the same issues.

Since 1996, the Benchmarking Council has provided opportunities for retail propane marketers to compare and benchmark business practices with other marketers. The council meets three times each year.

The ideal candidate will possess and demonstrate proficiency and knowledge through education or experience in facilitating groups or strategic planning. They must also possess communication skills and the ability to work well with people. Knowledge of the propane industry is a plus.

Serving an independent contractor, the facilitator will be compensated for each session and travel expenses are paid. If you are interested in this position, please submit a letter or resume, including a summary of your facilitation skills and background, to: Baron Glassgow, National Propane Gas Association, 6501 E. Greenway Parkway, Suite 103 #457, Scottsdale, AZ 85254. Phone: 866-881-6309; Fax: 866-261-4910; e-mail: bglassgow@npga.org.
