MarkWest to double capacity of Ohio fractionation complex

MarkWest Energy Partners LP announced plans to add capacity at its Hopedale fractionation and marketing complex in Harrison County, Ohio. According to a press release, the expansion will double the propane and heavier fractionation capacity at the Hopedale complex to 120,000 barrels per day (bpd). MarkWest expects the complex to be operational in the first quarter of 2015. Once the expansion is complete, MarkWest says it will operate 300,000 bpd of ethane and heavier fractionation capacity at four complexes in the Northeast.
