MFA Oil acquires Kansas retailer

MFA Oil Co. acquired Lybarger Oil Inc., a propane retailer based in Garnett, Kan.

Lybarger Oil, a second-generation family-owned company, has been in business since 1955. Through the purchase, MFA Oil acquires 10 propane plants, eight refined fuel plants, five fueling locations and a bulk and packaged lubricants business.

According to MFA Oil, Lybarger Oil is its first acquisition of its fiscal year, which began on Sept. 1. The acquisition expands MFA Oil’s footprint within Kansas.
