MID:COM has promoted Caleb Sheppard to the role of general manager.

Sheppard is a 30-year employee of the electronic meter register manufacturer who has worked his way up through the production process. For the past 20 years, he served in the customer service technician role.

Sheppard’s long-term experience with the company made him an ideal candidate for the position, according to MID:COM.

“I am confident Caleb will excel in this role as he has with every challenge that has come his way during his time with MID:COM,” says Jim Reddington, vice president of the energy division at FEI. “He is poised to ‘hit the ground running’ and is already very familiar and well-liked by our customer base.”

Founded in 1976, the Midwest Computer Register Corp. (MID:COM) explores and develops products to digitally measure and communicate product flow. MID:COM became part of the FEI family of companies in 2020.

FEI Inc. serves as the parent company to MID:COM and Midwest Meter Inc. in Hampton, Iowa. Founded in 1978, the employee-owned company, based in Valley City, North Dakota, serves the western half of the United States with parts and equipment for the energy/propane and fertilizer industries. FEI also has branch locations in Billings, Montana; Hastings, Nebraska; and Yakima, Washington. Its four facilities serve customers in 20 states and four Canadian provinces.
