NGL Energy Partners acquires Downeast Energy

NGL Energy Partners LP has signed an agreement with Downeast Energy Corp. to acquire assets located in Maine and New Hampshire for a combination of cash and NGL common units. Downeast has more than 50,000 customers across New England and delivers about 12 million gallons of retail propane and 28 million gallons of distillate each year.

Downeast has 14 offices in southern and central Maine and Dover, N.H. The company has been owned by the Morrell family for more than 80 years. John Peters, the company president who’s spent 31 years with Downeast, will maintain his current position.
