NPGF set to launch 2024-25 scholarship program

December 13, 2023 By

The National Propane Gas Foundation (NPGF) is kicking off its 2024-25 scholarship program Dec. 15, with the application deadline Feb. 15, 2024.

Children of employees of National Propane Gas Association (NPGA) member companies, state propane associations or the Propane Education & Research Council are eligible to apply.

NPGF awards more than 100 non-renewable $1,000 and $2,000 scholarships every year. Applicants may be pursuing any course of study at two- and four-year colleges or technical, trade or vocational schools. Students pursuing propane-related careers are especially encouraged to apply.

Since 1994, the NPGF Scholarship Fund has awarded more than $2 million in scholarships to more than 1,400 children of NPGA member company employees, according to the foundation.

Industry members can learn more about the scholarship opportunity and find a list of FAQs on NPGA’s website. Visitors can also read about past scholarship recipients and see a list of donors to the program. Apply here starting on Dec. 15.

This year’s scholarship program also marks the return of its golf tournament benefiting the fund. It will take place April 4 at Springfield Golf Course in Fort Mill, South Carolina, prior to the NPGA Southeastern Convention & International Propane Expo, which runs April 5-7 in Charlotte, North Carolina. A shotgun start begins at 1:30 p.m.
