Nube, Metsa partner on monitoring solution

Metsa Tanks and Nube partnered to deliver the Smart Tank, a wireless IoT solution that will be installed on Metsa tanks directly from the plant. The device is activated by a swirl of a magnet to commence daily inventory reporting. Metsa and Nube will provide a mobile app that will allow clients to view gas levels, receive alerts and make online credit card payments. An administrative portal with analytics and insights via a browser-based interface also enables gas companies to optimize deliveries, improve supply chain processes and enhance the customer experience, say the companies. Metsa also invested in building a new production line and infrastructure for the manufacturing of stationary tanks, and updated the equipment in its paint line to improve its part quality and product output.
