Paraco hires new general manager

Dan Scicutella joined Paraco Gas as general manager to lead its team in Long Island, New York.

“We are so pleased that Dan has joined our Long Island team,” says Christina Armentano, COO and executive vice president at Paraco, in a news release. “Dan has a reputation for driving continuous improvement, empowering his teams and upholding a strong safety culture.”

Prior to joining Paraco, Scicutella worked in management at FedEx Express and received multiple awards for quality and service.

“This is an opportunity to join a great company, which gives me the chance to grow, advance and further develop my leadership skills,” says Scicutella in a news release.

Robert Pearce, the current general manager of Paraco’s Long Island team, is planning for retirement and was involved in the process of selecting his successor. Pearce has been with the company for more than 10 years.

“Dan was recommended because of his philosophy of involving employees in solving customer issues with innovation,” Pearce says. “His organizational skills and ability to hold himself and his team accountable will help build a better Paraco.”

Family-owned and -operated Paraco Gas is headquartered in Rye Brook, New York, and was founded in 1968 by Pat Armentano. The company is ranked in the top 15 U.S. propane retailers by gallon sales, according to the 2022 LP Gas Top Propane Retailer rankings.
