Pittsburgh gets propane-powered cabs

Yellow Cab, a division of the Pittsburgh Transportation Group (PTG), is introducing propane-powered taxis to Pittsburgh. The first group of cabs will undergo a conversion today with Pittsburgh Mayor Luke Ravenstahl on hand.

PTG’s parent company, Veolia Transportation, launched an autogas taxi fleet in Baltimore earlier this month. Veolia is also converting taxis in Denver and Jacksonville.
