Portable propane dispenser deploys in North Carolina for hurricane relief

In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, John Jessup, president and CEO of the Southeast Propane Alliance, partnered with Luke Fitzpatrick, president and CEO of the Missouri Propane Gas Association, to secure a portable 500-gallon propane dispenser to aid the ongoing relief efforts in western North Carolina.
On New Year’s Day, Fitzpatrick personally delivered the propane dispenser, making a 13-hour journey from Missouri to Asheville, North Carolina. The unit has been deployed with the help of Blossman Gas to the Big Ivy Community Center.
The portable dispenser acts as a lifeline for many victims currently living in tents and campers due to extensive hurricane damage. According to the company, before the portable dispenser arrived, the Burnsville Blossman branch was filling 75 to 100 propane cylinders per week to support the affected community. With the new portable unit, propane cylinders can now be filled directly on-site, leading to improved efficiency and relief for those in need.
