Redd joined the company in 2013 when it acquired American Welding & Tank from Taylor-Wharton International. With Quality Steel, Redd covered the U.S. Northwest – Idaho, Montana and Wyoming – plus all of Canada.

“We hate to lose him, but he’s earned his retirement,” says D.D. Hardy, national sales manager at LT Corp., Quality Steel’s parent company.

Hardy says he’s already heard from many people in the industry reaching out about Redd’s retirement.

“He really brought a lot of knowledge that has helped everybody,” Hardy says. “We will miss his teamwork and his personality, and his great sense of humor.”

Redd built strong relationships during his time with Quality Steel and successfully managed the vast Canadian territory, Hardy says.

“Dean kept a good pulse on how business flowed in those areas and has been able to capture some good customer base for us,” Hardy adds.

Mike Rentmeester has stepped into Redd’s position.

Quality Steel is a U.S. manufacturer of aboveground and underground propane, ammonia, and dispenser tanks and pressure vessels for residential, commercial, small industrial and agricultural use. The company is based in Cleveland, Mississippi, with locations in Fremont, Ohio, and West Jordan, Utah.
