Ray Murray Inc. acquires outdoor products distributor

Ray Murray Inc. (RMI) acquired Masda Corp., a hearth and outdoor products distributor based in Whippany, New Jersey.

The addition of Masda makes RMI one of the largest wholesale distributors of hearth and grill equipment in the U.S., the company reports.

“The acquisition combines two prominent and well-respected distributors of hearth and grill products,” says Michael Hopsicker, president and CEO of RMI. “It will provide the ability to best serve the hearth and outdoor living industry in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic with exceptional products and dealer support.”

RMI will continue to distribute the majority of Masda product lines, including Dimplex, IHP, MHP, RH Peterson and SBI. Dan and Joe Darche will remain with RMI to ensure seamless and positive transition for customers.
