Safety manager discusses emergency response to propane explosions

Mark Holloway, manager of safety for AmeriGas Propane, shares his firsthand experience with emergency response, drawing from the recent Las Vegas propane explosion. Holloway, who was interviewed at the Propane Education & Research Council‘s 2019 National Safety & Trainer’s Conference, also discusses how emergency response to propane incidents has changed over the last decade.

The conference, which took place Jan. 9-10 in San Antonio, was attended by more than 125 propane trainers, safety managers, attorneys and state officials.
