ThompsonGas acquires three Southern marketers

ThompsonGas recently purchased the assets of three propane marketing companies, including Drivers Energy in Dawson, Ga.; Tarheel Oil and Propane in North Wilkesboro, N.C.; and the Quality/Ideal Gas Group in Griffin, Ga.

ThompsonGas estimates it is adding nearly 7 million annual gallons and $26 million in annual revenues with the acquisitions. When complete, the company says it will serve about 190,000 customers across 11 states.

ThompsonGas intends to finance the transactions with a combination of equity and debt in line with its long-term capital structure objectives.
