UGI Corp. to complete acquisition of Totalgaz

UGI Corp., AmeriGas’ parent company, plans to complete its acquisition of Totalgaz, an LP gas distribution business in France, in the coming weeks after gaining approval from the French Competition Authority. UGI reports that this is the final regulatory approval required for the acquisition to close. The purchase price is about $454 million to $511 million.

Based on retail gallons distributed, Totalgaz is comparable in size to UGI’s existing Antargaz business in France, with both businesses selling to residential, commercial, industrial and autogas customers.
