Women in Propane appoints 2023-24 board, committee leaders

Women in Propane Council (WIP), an official business council of the National Propane Gas Association (NPGA), named its new executive board and committee members at the Women in Propane annual meeting in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The 2023-24 WIP Executive Board consists of Paula Summers, as chair, and Bridget Piraino, as vice chair.

Summers is the director of strategic partnerships for Vision Financial Group Inc. She is an NPGA member, Smart Electric Power Association member, Certified Lease Finance Professional, co-chair for the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries’ Women in Recycling Council and a board member of the City of Charleston Board of Zoning Appeals. She earned a degree in civil and environmental engineering from Georgia Tech.

Piraino is senior vice president of customer growth and a leadership team member at Anova, a remote tank monitoring solution provider. She is spearheading a WIP webinar program and is also an active member of the World LPG Association, serving as the digital technology partner for its “LPG Talks Live” webinar program. She serves on multiple national and state industry association committees as well.

Also at the annual meeting, WIP named a number of people to serve in various positions on its executive board. The council named Mandy Swanson of AmeriGas as treasurer, Tonya Crow of Growmark as association engagement officer, Jennifer Jackson of AmeriGas as immediate past chair and Nancy Coop of Cetane Associates as founding chair.

Other council leaders include Marci Gagnon of Qualpay and Jessica Sheehan-Balderston of Rural Computer Consultants as co-chairs of programs and events; Michelle Wilson of Boston Environmental and Whitney O’Toole of AmeriGas as co-chairs of membership; Lauren Clark of Bergquist as manager of the Knowledge Exchange program; and Natalie Peal as a retired board adviser.
