Reno, Nevada, will host the 74th annual Western Propane Trade Show & Convention, the largest propane industry event west of the Mississippi River, in less than two months.

The show, co-hosted by the Western Propane Gas Association, Arizona Propane Gas Association, Nevada Propane Dealers Association, Pacific Propane Gas Association and Rocky Mountain Propane Association, will take place May 13-17 at the Silver Legacy Hotel and the Reno Convention Center.

More than 200 companies will exhibit a variety of propane products, vehicles and services during a three-day trade show that opens May 15, while educational session presenters will discuss new technologies and markets, safety, and the clean-air benefits of propane, among other topics. More than 10 seminars and training sessions are scheduled during the week. Also, the co-hosting associations will host their respective board of directors and membership meetings.

Weeklong festivities include an opening-night welcome reception, golf tournament, silent auction, as well as other special events and networking opportunities.

Kelly Senecal, co-founder and owner of Convergent Science, will deliver a keynote about the often-misunderstood role of combustion in the modern world. Senecal is a fellow of the Society of Automotive Engineers and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). He is chair of the executive committee of the ASME Internal Combustion Engine Division, a member of the board of advisers for the Central States Section of the Combustion Institute and the 2019 recipient of the ASME ICE Award.

Reno returns as the host city this year following one year in Palm Springs, California. Nevada’s third-largest city will host the show’s 75th anniversary next year before Portland, Oregon, hosts in 2026. Show organizers have not determined host cities for 2027 and 2028.

Registration began in mid-January.
