Agtegra Cooperative, an agricultural cooperative headquartered in Aberdeen, South Dakota, acquired the assets of UPI Petroleum, a convenience store and bulk fuel and propane business in Milbank, South Dakota. The acquisition includes all bulk fuel and propane assets, including the convenience store located in Milbank.

“I greatly appreciate the support Milbank has given me over the past seven years,” says Jason Ackerman, UPI Petroleum co-owner. “I am pleased to announce that I will be staying on with Agtegra to manage the facility in Milbank, and all current employees have been offered employment.”

Agtegra is owned by more than 7,000 farmers and ranchers, predominantly in North Dakota and South Dakota, with a network of more than 70 locations and 900 employees. It is over 100 years old.

“We are excited to announce the acquisition of UPI Petroleum, which represents a significant step forward in our commitment to serving rural communities with energy solutions,” says Milt Handcock, Agtegra senior vice president of energy. “This facility not only enhances our operational capabilities but also strengthens our ties with the local community. We look forward to investing in and working alongside Milbank area residents.”
