Alliance AutoGas plans to convert a Ford F-150 at the Work Truck Show.

Alliance AutoGas plans to convert a bi-fuel 2016 3.5-liter Ford F-150 V6 on March 3 as part of its display at the Work Truck Show in Indianapolis. The group will be featured in booth 5567.

According to a press release, Alliance AutoGas hopes to achieve the “fastest recorded alternative fuel conversion to propane autogas.” The conversion will take place at 11 a.m.

Alliance AutoGas will also explain in simple steps the process of converting fleets to autogas. The group installs a handful of parts, including a secondary fuel tank to store the autogas, an injector spacer plate and an engine control unit. The engine control unit acts as the switch that allows the vehicle to toggle from gasoline to autogas.

“Plug and play” technology replaces the need for drilling or cutting of any parts or wires, Alliance AutoGas says, and the system does not require any permanent vehicle modifications.
