Company recalls combination carbon monoxide, smoke detector

System Sensor recalled its i4 series combination carbon monoxide and smoke detector models COSMO-2W and COSMO-4W that were manufactured sometime between Sept. 3 and Sept. 13, 2014. The recalled units have date codes 4091 or 4092 printed on the lower left corner of the label on the back of the product and packaging, according to System Sensor.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission recommends consumers with the recalled detector models contact System Sensor to receive a free replacement combination carbon monoxide and smoke detector. Consumers are encouraged to continue using the recalled detectors until replacements are installed.
