Conger LP Gas has served customers in Worth County, Georgia, since its inception in 1989, and now the company is doing so from a new and improved location.

Conger held a grand opening celebration at its new location at 306 S. Main St. in Sylvester. The two-day event drew between 300 and 400 attendees, according to Conger LP Gas President and CEO Dan Richardson.

The new location in downtown Sylvester is much larger than the previous office on Highway 82 and features a spacious showroom with working gas log fireplace displays, a selection of appliances and a Rinnai tankless water heater wall.

Richardson calls the new location “very much an upgrade,” with its new look and in-store offerings. The former location in Sylvester didn’t offer much room for merchandizing, he says, but the new 3,000-sq.-ft. office features a display area that’s about four times larger than in the Highway 82 location.

“We wanted there to be continuity between the offices, so now this office has things in it that resemble Moultrie and Tifton, and hopefully within the next year we’ll remodel and upgrade Vidalia as well,” Richardson says of the company’s four locations.

The grand opening celebration included a ribbon-cutting with the Sylvester-Worth County Chamber of Commerce, followed by a free lunch for attendees and customers. The celebration featured giveaways, door prizes and a cylinder-fill special where customers could get their 20-pound propane cylinders filled for $10. The special price only at the Sylvester location included tax.

“We expect more foot traffic, more customer traffic into our office,” Richardson says of the new location. “We expect that to produce more appliance sales and more cylinder fills – bottom line, more business.”

Conger LP Gas is one of the largest independent propane companies in south Georgia. The company serves more than 7,500 customers throughout 35 counties in the state.
