Tom Olive, president and CEO of Crystal Flash

Dave Scigliano, the CEO of Crystal Flash who spent the last 26 years with the company, and Tom Fehsenfeld, third-generation chairman of the family-owned company, both announced their retirement.

Tom Olive was hired as Scigliano’s successor. Olive, 52, will serve as Crystal Flash’s president and CEO. Scigliano and Fehsenfeld plan to take positions on the company’s board of directors.

“[Olive] is a proven leader with great vision as to how our company can build off its past successes and continue to grow,” Fehsenfeld says. “His strong financial foundation, focus on team building and dedication to providing exceptional customer service make him a great fit for our culture.”

According to Crystal Flash, Scigliano joined the company in 1988. He worked in petroleum marketing between 1972 and 1988, starting in Flint, Mich., with a small auto parts, gas and repair outfit. In 2009, he was named Crystal Flash’s COO while also serving as the company’s vice president of supply.

Olive previously served as CEO of True Textiles Inc., a textile supplier based in Grand Rapids, Mich., for five years. Before that, Olive served as president, CEO and CFO of Elan Nutrition Inc.
