Gas Equipment Co. revises leadership structure

Gas Equipment Co. (GEC) implemented a strategic leadership transition to support ongoing growth and expansion.
As part of a global realignment within Makeen Energy, GEC’s CEO, Gijs Majoor, will expand his role to lead Makeen Energy’s Gas Equipment operations globally. To maintain seamless operations in the United States, GEC has implemented a revised leadership structure to support the transition.
Majoor, who became CEO of GEC in 2021, will continue as CEO of GEC, while taking on the role of CEO of Makeen Gas Equipment as well as joining the executive management group at Makeen Energy.
As a result, GEC’s U.S. operations will be led on a daily basis by Kevin Pruitt, senior vice president of sales and marketing, and Jason Steichen, who has been promoted to senior vice president of administration and general manager. Pruitt will oversee the company’s sales strategy and marketing activities, while Steichen will manage IT, human resources, finance and lead the senior leadership team.
In Europe, Christian Fredberg is stepping into the role of director of Makeen Gas Equipment. He will play a key role in overseeing and supporting the operations in that region and working closely with the U.S. leadership team, ensuring alignment on a global scale for Makeen Gas Equipment.
“We are excited about these leadership changes and the new organizational structure,” says Majoor. “These changes are designed to support our long-term goals, and I have full confidence in Kevin and Jason’s ability to effectively lead the team as we continue to build on the legacy and success of GEC over the past 85 years.”
