Kiros Energy Marketing adds propane supply source in Mississippi

May 29, 2023 By

Kiros Energy Marketing established a multi-year throughput deal at the Tallahatchie rail terminal in New Albany, Mississippi. Starting in September, Kiros will have exclusive rights to all wholesale propane marketing through the facility, helping to bring certainty of supply into the area for retailers, the company announced.

Located at Sam T. Barkley Drive in New Albany, the terminal features 180,000 gallons of propane storage, a four-car offloading rack and two truck-loading spots, allowing for a transport to be loaded in about 15 minutes, according to the company.

Kiros says it will source and maintain propane supply into the Tallahatchie terminal by utilizing its North American supply and logistical expertise along with its established relationships with producers, midstreamers, major suppliers and railways. Its presence at Tallahatchie, the company adds, will allow it to service the region with timely, reliable and cost-competitive propane.

Kiros Energy Marketing, based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, is a natural gas liquids and crude oil marketing company servicing producers, refiners, gasoline blenders and retailers throughout North America. The company specializes in the physical movement of propane, butane, iso-butane, olefins, crude oil and condensate and provides its customers with risk management, hedging and market-making activities.
