Newly formed consortium providing autogas education

June 21, 2013 By

A consortium of five trainers formed the Alternative Fuel Training Network to train mechanics, drivers and station operators on propane autogas and other fuels. The consortium is offering three autogas-focused courses, and it will go to a fleet’s site to perform training.

One course, AutoGas 101, is a half-day session to introduce autogas fueling and technology and show how they can be incorporated into fleets. A second course is designed for technicians, focusing on autogas fuel system integration and conversions over three days. A third course is an autogas vehicle introduction for operators, taking a half day to focus on safety and other areas.
