Nexio Power Inc. showcased its propane-powered commercial vehicle platform at the 2026 NPGA Southeastern & International Propane Expo. The vehicle reflected a year of industry collaboration, with design updates shaped by feedback from propane marketers, fleet operators and drivers.

Attendees who visited the Nexio booth experienced several driver-focused enhancements, including wider cab entry steps with improved spacing, redesigned handrails supporting three-point contact, illuminated footwells for low-light visibility and high-contrast grab handles for consistent usability.

The updates followed outreach efforts led by CEO Gary Winemaster and Chief Technology Officer Horace Mast, who gathered input at ride-and-drive events and industry expos. That feedback informed ongoing refinements by Nexio’s engineering team in Nacogdoches, Texas.

The truck highlighted Nexio’s driver-first design philosophy, which emphasizes driver comfort, safety and accessibility as key performance factors. Company officials say those features can help fleets address ongoing challenges in driver recruitment and retention while offering an alternative to traditional diesel configurations.

The expo also marked a commercial milestone for Nexio, as the company began accepting vehicle orders. Early production allocation slots were already filling as the company advanced toward EPA and CARB certification and start of production.

The platform featured a purpose-built 7.2-liter supercharged propane V-8 engine producing 330 horsepower and 775 pound-feet of torque, paired with an Allison automatic transmission. The powertrain was engineered specifically for propane, delivering performance without conversions or retrofits.

At the event, Nexio also announced the launch of nexiotrucks.com, a redesigned website intended to provide fleet operators, dealers and industry stakeholders with access to detailed specifications, fleet analysis tools and service resources.

“Nexiotrucks.com was designed with the same discipline and intention as our vehicles – clean, intelligent and built for the future,” says Jeremy Lessaris, chief marketing officer for Nexio. “It reflects how Nexio is leveraging technology to redefine the standard for modern commercial transportation.”

The site organizes Nexio’s Class 5-8 vehicle lineup into four categories: single rear axle (4×2), tandem rear axle (6×2), tractor series and stripped chassis. Each model page includes specifications such as powertrain data, weight ratings, wheelbase configurations and transmission options. The platform also introduces Nexio’s proprietary systems, PowerCore, Cab Command and IntelliSafe, with technical details on features including the 7.2-liter engine and an integrated safety suite with radar-assisted braking, lane departure warning and blind-spot detection.

The website’s Fleet Value Calculator allows users to model operating costs and emissions using EPA-certified data. By adjusting inputs such as fleet size, mileage and fuel pricing, users can compare propane and diesel performance. Under default assumptions and recent diesel price averages, the model projected about $2.6 million in annual fleet savings, along with emissions reductions including 97 percent lower nitrogen oxides and 52 percent lower particulate matter compared with diesel.

Nexio also outlined its service and support model, including pre-deployment onboarding, a parts distribution hub in Lufkin, Texas, and ongoing support through certified maintenance providers, embedded technicians, mobile service units and 24/7 technical assistance.

The 2026 NPGA Southeastern & International Propane Expo was held April 19-21 at the Music City Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
