NPGA committee gets early look at new Southeastern show destination

The National Propane Gas Association’s Conventions Committee toured the year-old Music City Center in Nashville, Tenn., site of the 2016 Southeastern Convention & International Propane Expo, earlier this summer.

The new 1.2-million-square-foot venue was built in downtown Nashville, in the heart of the city’s entertainment district. It offers 353,000 square feet of total exhibit hall space. The propane show will be held in Halls A and B, encompassing 173,000 gross square feet. The Music City Center also has two ballrooms – one measuring 57,500 square feet – and 60 meeting rooms.

NPGA will hold its 2015 show in the long-running host city of Atlanta. The Southeastern states have hosted a show in Atlanta for more than 50 years, combining with NPGA on the national/international event in the early 1990s. In recent years, the association began looking for ways to boost attendance, excitement and opportunities for the propane industry’s largest event, deciding on a new host city.

NPGA hasn’t officially announced a location for the show beyond 2016.
