Oregon school district to add 77 autogas buses

February 29, 2016 By

Student Transportation of America, a subsidiary of Student Transportation Inc., plans to provide 93 vehicles to the Tigard-Tualatin school district in Oregon, with the majority of them being propane autogas buses.

The company will supply the school district with 77 propane autogas buses, which will replace the diesel fleet currently in use. Student Transportation of America was awarded a $4.8 million annual contract to help the school district with transportation services as of July 1. According to a press release, the school district is the ninth largest in Oregon, serving 17 schools.

Student Transportation of America has been expanding its footprint in the region, as it also helped to add 52 autogas buses to the Lake Oswego School District in Oregon in May 2015.
