RegO boosts Americas sales team with two new hires

Two gas industry veterans joined the Americas sales team at RegO, a global provider to the LPG, LNG, cryogenic and industrial gas industries.

The North Carolina company hired Ed Varney as business development director, U.S. and Canada, and Joe Calhoun as business development manager for LPG and industrial gas in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions of the U.S.

Varney joins RegO with more than 28 years of business development and sales experience in the U.S. and international LPG and natural gas industries. He previously held senior positions at AmeriGas and Heritage Propane.

Most recently, Varney served as the sales leader for the Americas for Honeywell Process Solutions in gas measurement, working with most of the major pipeline and refinery operators in North America. He grew the business successfully and implemented significant changes in processes and procedures, RegO says.

“Ed is a sales leader who brings vast experience in channel management, consultative sales and strategic accounts,” says Bob Paul, vice president of sales at RegO.

Calhoun brings over 20 years of gas industry experience and has held numerous business development and sales management roles in his career.

Most recently, Calhoun worked as the national business development manager for Robinson Pipe & Vessel, where he led new business development and generated significant growth. He has served as a board member and has held executive leadership roles within regional propane gas associations.

“Joe is a great, experienced addition to the team and will be focused on developing growth opportunities alongside our channel partners in both [the] LPG and industrial gas markets,” Paul says.
