RegO offers regulator safety message in wake of Hurricane Harvey

September 7, 2017 By

Propane regulator manufacturer RegO offered a safety message in regard to its regulators in the wake of Hurricane Harvey.

According to RegO, water from floods can carry chemicals and other contaminants that will attack regulator components, including the diaphragm, seat disc and lever assembly. Any RegO regulator that has been exposed to flood waters must be replaced, the company adds.

The company also made a donation to the Red Cross to support Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.

“For those affected by the devastation and flooding caused by Hurricane Harvey, RegO sends along thoughts and prayers for a safe and speedy recovery,” says Mike Lucas, CEO of RegO. “RegO has made a donation to the Red Cross to aid the immediate need there, as we share a commitment to protect the well-being of our employees, customers and greater community.”

RegO has been manufacturing gas control products since 1908. The company is a global provider to the LP gas, liquified natural gas, cryogenic and industrial gas industries.
