Sharp Energy installs autogas fueling station in Maryland
Sharp Energy, a subsidiary of Chesapeake Utilities Corp., constructed and installed an autogas propane fueling station for fleet vehicles near the Baltimore/Washington International Airport.
Airport shuttles, school bus companies and commercial fleets can use the new station to power their fleets with propane. To date, Sharp Energy has installed about a dozen autogas stations in Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania, according to the company.
MBG Enterprise, a Baltimore-area school bus company, has already begun using Sharp Energy’s new autogas station to power 10 school buses. The company recently added eight additional autogas buses to its fleet for the upcoming school year.
“My family and I have been in the transportation industry for decades, and we are always looking for innovative ways to make our business better,” says Mitch Gunther, owner of MBG Enterprise. “We decided to make the switch to propane-powered buses last year, and we could not be happier. The simplicity of fueling and the expertise Sharp Energy has in their infrastructure is fantastic. I look forward to working with Sharp Energy for years to come as we transition our school bus fleet.”
