Silver Valley Propane sells to undisclosed buyer
Silver Valley Propane, located in Apple Valley, California, has been sold to an undisclosed buyer.
Legacy Energy Consulting, a mergers and acquisitions advisory firm, announced the completion of the sale.
Silver Valley Propane Inc. was established in 1993 by Larry Charette in Newberry Springs, California. Starting with a bobtail, crane truck and some weathered tanks, the company was founded on principles of excellent service, fair pricing and strong community relationships, Legacy Energy Consulting explains. This business model proved successful, leading to expansion into Barstow, Baker, Apple Valley, Lucerne Valley and Helendale by 2000.
“Chad [Pendill] and the team at Legacy Energy Consulting made what could have been a grueling, drawn-out process very seamless,” Charette says. “From the first day working together, they helped explain what to expect, what to do and how best to do it to ensure the transaction and transition went exactly how we wanted. I can’t say enough positive words about the service and care provided by Legacy during this process.”
Pendill, founder and president of Legacy Energy Consulting, adds, “Larry has built an impressive enterprise and established Silver Valley Propane as a leading propane company in the Southern California market. It was a pleasure getting to know Larry and his family and gaining their trust to represent them in the sale of their business.”
Legacy Energy Consulting provided Silver Valley Propane with a suite of merger and acquisition services. These included conducting the initial valuation, discreetly marketing the company to prospective buyers through an organized and efficient sale process, negotiating the final terms of the deal and overseeing the due diligence undertaken by both seller and buyer. The transaction was managed by Chad Pendill and Tyler Pendill. This represents the fourth transaction completed by Legacy Energy Consulting in 2025 and the 25th since 2020.
Legacy Energy Consulting was established in 2020 by Chad Pendill, a propane industry veteran with over 35 years, and his son Tyler Pendill. The firm specializes in offering merger and acquisition services to propane and refined fuel businesses across the nation.
