Task force to explore supply, infrastructure solutions

NPGA established a supply and infrastructure task force that’s charged with conducting a post-winter analysis and providing recommendations to the association’s Executive Committee for future efforts and strategies related to propane supply, distribution and infrastructure.

According to NPGA, its staff, PERC‘s staff, industry experts and state executives will support the task force in its focus on six specific areas. The six areas are public relations; industry/marketer education; consumer education; infrastructure and distribution; exports and national inventory analysis; and the impact of the Cochin Pipeline reversal project.

    Two areas of concern. Why is Enterprise allowed to be a shipper on the pipeline and owner of the pipeline. Years ago, we had the same problem with Exxon. And it is interesting that when gas is in high demand, their customers were able to draw all the gas they wanted.
    The other area of concern is who allowed Enterprise to “back ship” product during times of high demand and low inventory? If Enterprise knew that inventories were low, and nobody else did due to Enterprise not releasing data, did not FERC and PHMSA know that Enterprise was not replenishing the inventory?
