ThompsonGas acquires All American Propane

February 10, 2020 By

ThompsonGas, headquartered in Frederick, Maryland, acquired All American Propane, a propane provider in Yakima, Washington.

Husband-and-wife team Dick and Carole Start established All American Propane in 1993. When Dick died, Carole took over leadership of the company. All American Propane has more than 35 employees and serves residential, commercial and agriculture customers in central, eastern and southern Washington. It also supplies wholesale propane and operates a storage facility in Port of Othello, Washington. Its distribution centers in Yakima and Othello include showrooms with camping, grilling, mechanical and agricultural parts and fittings.

“All American is a great company servicing one of the most important agricultural areas in our country,” says Jim Davis, COO. “We are so pleased to partner with this great group of people to grow the business in the Yakima area.”

This acquisition continues ThompsonGas’ recent expansion in the Northwest. In late 2019, the company also acquired APP Propane of Tacoma, Washington.

“We are pleased to add All American Propane to the ThompsonGas family,” says Jeff Kerns, CEO. “All American presents a unique opportunity to expand our Northwest operations into eastern Washington.”

Established in 1946, ThompsonGas now serves more than 196,000 residential and commercial customers across 20 states in the East, Southeast, West and Midwest.
