ThompsonGas acquired the bulk retail propane assets of Clark Gas Co. Inc., which is based in Florence, Alabama.

Jack and Kent Clark served as the owners of Clark Gas. The company featured 16 locations that serviced 20 counties in south central Tennessee and northwestern Alabama, according to Clark Gas’ website.

“We are encouraged by the quality of the business that Jack and Kent have built,” says George Koloroutis, COO of ThompsonGas. “This transaction will provide an immediate contribution to our business, and we are very proud to welcome the Clark Gas customers and employees to the ThompsonGas family.”

As a result of this acquisition, ThompsonGas now serves more than 120,000 customers in 18 states. ThompsonGas made several other acquisitions in 2017, including Burkardt’s LP Gas, Dallas County Propane, Garrett’s Propane and Propane Northwest.
