ThompsonGas announces executive changes

Jeff Kerns replaced George Koloroutis, who announced his retirement earlier this year, as CEO of ThompsonGas, a Frederick, Maryland-based propane retailer.

Kerns has been with ThompsonGas for over 20 years and served in various positions within the organization, including CFO, and, most recently, executive vice president of business development. Kerns has been a key driver of ThompsonGas’ corporate growth and acquisition strategies, which have contributed to nearly 500 percent growth in propane gallons over the past decade, the company reports.

Kerns will lead the company as it continues to grow in new regions of the country, including the West Coast with its recent acquisition of ER Energy Inc. in northern California.
