Western Pennsylvania breaks new ground on autogas

April 19, 2013 By

School bus transportation service provider Student Transportation Inc. has been awarded a contract with the Gateway School District in Pennsylvania that will put 80 propane-powered school buses on the road.

According to Student Transportation, the school district is the first in western Pennsylvania and the second district in the state to switch from diesel to propane autogas. The school district anticipates saving about $372,000 compared to what it had estimated for the 2013-14 school year.
