The World Liquid Gas Association (WLGA) has named a new president, first vice president and vice president to its leadership team.

Tabajara Bertelli Costa, CEO of Ultragaz in Brazil, will serve as the WLGA’s new president. Named to the position of first vice president and vice president are Fabian Ziegler, CEO of DCC Energy in Ireland, and Melih Poyraz, CEO of Aygaz in Türkiye, respectively. These appointments will run until the association’s general assembly in Rio de Janeiro, scheduled for the fall of 2025.

Outgoing president Bram Gräber, from SHV Energy, led the association as a board member since 2018, vice president since 2019, first vice president since 2021 and as president since 2023.

“I am delighted to be taking on the role of WLGA president and looking forward to working with [CEO] James Rockall and his team, in order to achieve the goals of the WLGA strategic plan,” Costa says. “I would like to thank Mr. Gräber for his work as president and for his significant contributions during his term.”

The World Liquid Gas Association, formerly the World LPG Association, recently completed a rebranding. It continues to serve as the global voice of the LPG industry, but the new name reflects the expanded scope of its activities to include other products and blends under the banner of “liquid gases.”
