3eight Energy purchases propane terminal in Georgia

April 10, 2023 By

3eight Energy, a wholesale LP gas supplier, acquired a propane rail terminal in Mount Airy, Georgia.

The rail terminal will mainly be used to improve supply security and transportation options for retailers and carriers in the North Georgia region. Currently, the terminal can unload five rail cars and has two truck-loading bays.

“We are excited about adding the Mount Airy, Georgia, facility to the 3eight Energy network,” says Phil Farris, director of wholesale marketing. “Mount Airy will complement our existing Southeast propane distribution system and be a strategic delivery point for both conventional and renewable propane.”

Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, 3eight Energy operates in 10 Southeastern and Mid-Atlantic states, providing propane supply and advisory services to its network of independent propane dealers. A subsidiary of the Blossman Companies Inc., 3Eight Energy launched in early 2019.

3eight Energy joins 50 other companies listed on the 2023 LP Gas Propane Suppliers Guide, a directory of the propane industry’s top product sources.
