January 24, 2017 By

The Fulton County School System, near Atlanta, plans to add 90 propane-powered school buses equipped with seat belts this year, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

Yancey Bus Sales and Service, a Blue Bird dealer, will supply the buses – Blue Bird Visions equipped with Roush CleanTech propane fuel systems. Each new school bus costs about $91,000, the newspaper reports.

The buses will join the school district’s fleet by August 2017 for the new school year. The Fulton County School System is the third school district in Georgia to add autogas buses to its fleet.
