CleanFuel USA, Westport partner to advance F-150

CleanFuel USA entered an agreement with Westport Innovations Inc., a natural gas engine technology company, to become a supplier for the Westport WiNG 2016 Ford 5.0-liter F-150 propane autogas-fueled truck.

The Westport WiNG power system will integrate CleanFuel USA’s liquid propane injection technology. A Ford OEM warranty supports the F-150 with the Westport WiNG power system, which is available to order.

The 2016 Ford F-150 includes Ford’s propane gaseous-prep package. According to CleanFuel USA, fuel package options include a standard 23-gallon underbody tank, an extended 39-gallon underbody tank or an in-bed 60-gallon tank.

The Propane Education & Research Council will feature the autogas-fueled Ford F-150 with the Westport WiNG power system in its booth at the upcoming Greenbuild International Conference and Expo Nov. 18-19 in Washington, D.C.
