Conger LP Gas, building supplier to launch homebuilders show
Conger LP Gas is partnering with a Georgia building supply company to host the first South Georgia Home Showcase on Feb. 12-13 at the UGA Tifton Campus Conference Center in Tifton, Georgia.
The event, which targets homebuilders and residential customers, will showcase products and services from about 100 suppliers. Admission is free by preregistering online.
Dan Richardson, president and CEO of Conger LP Gas, is teaming with Jay Short, a third-generation owner of Short and Paulk, to launch the event. Richardson says propane retailers must uncover creative ways to reach builders and other potential customers.
“For us, this is a great venue,” he says. “Partnering with a locally-owned building supplier is allowing us to get more involved with builders. Before Jay presented this opportunity to us, it was hard to connect with local builders on a large scale.”
Contractors will enjoy early access to the show floor and an evening reception Monday. The show floor then opens to the general public Tuesday and closes that evening with a special event for chamber of commerce members. Based on preregistration numbers, a large turnout is expected, Richardson says.
The showcase will also offer 13 continuing education classes, including two about propane, for builders.
The Propane Education & Research Council is serving as an event sponsor.
