EDP acquires Sullivan Oil & Propane

October 23, 2024 By

EDP acquired Sullivan Oil & Propane, headquartered in Bath, Pennsylvania. The company provides propane, fuel oil and HVAC services across the Lehigh Valley and the Poconos.

EDP says the transaction, its 41st since its inception in 2012, deepens its footprint in Pennsylvania, where the company already has a strong presence.

Sullivan Oil & Propane was established in 1992 as a local service company. In 1994, it added fuel delivery and today is a full-service home energy provider.

Gene Sullivan and his wife Jennifer have owned the company since its inception. Their 15 employees have transitioned to EDP and will continue to serve Sullivan customers as they have in the past.

“We chose EDP because of their business model and their reputation for taking good care of their employees,” says Gene Sullivan. “We are excited for the future career opportunities for our former Sullivan team members, and we look forward to watching the company continue to grow in the years ahead.”

Adds Thomas Knauff, EDP’s executive chairman, “Sullivan Oil & Propane has an outstanding reputation for quality service, and we couldn’t be more pleased they chose EDP when it came time to retire. We welcome all their employees to our EDP family and look forward to remaining active in their local community.”

Chicago-based EDP provides propane service to residential and commercial customers in 23 states.
