Ferrellgas Partners names new CFO

Overland Park, Kansas-based Ferrellgas Partners has hired Dhiraj Cherian as CFO.

Cherian brings more than 20 years of financial management and strategic financial and operational goal achievement to the company. He was previously CFO of Panasonic Automotive Systems Co.

He joins Ferrellgas executive officers Jim Ferrell, chairman and CEO, and Tamria Zertuche, COO.

“Dhiraj Cherian possesses the attributes we need to continue to transform and grow our business,” Ferrell says. “He has demonstrated time and again an ability to drive change and lead financial teams who strive to be business partners.”

Cherian has also served in financial leadership roles at Westinghouse Electric Co., General Electric and the British Council.

Cherian earned a master’s of business administration in finance and accounting from Solvay Business School, a master’s of commerce in accounting from Osmania University and a degree in systems management from the National Institute of Information Technology.

Ferrellgas also appointed Ivan Winfield Jr. as chief information officer, Brent Banwart as vice president of human resources, Megan Sharp to vice president of operations support, Brian Freeth to west regional manager and Jennifer Juskowiak as director of talent acquisition. The company recently completed a financial restructuring.
