Autogas refueling site opening in Maine

R.H. Foster Energy LLC is hosting a grand opening for Maine’s first propane autogas public refueling site May 20 in Ellsworth, Maine, the company announced. Among those scheduled to speak during the special two-hour event are the Propane Education & Research Council’s Roy Willis, Roush CleanTech’s Todd Mouw and R.H. Foster Energy’s Robert Tracy. A reception and tours of R.H. Foster Energy will begin at 2 p.m. that day, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 3:45 p.m.

    I am pleased to see this because I drive a Roush Racing propane-powered pickup. Since it is a dedicated propane vehicle, and I’ve had it since 2009, I can tell you though that Maine has several existing public fueling sites — I have used four of them, all U-Hauls.

    But, this is still good news. I might even drive my truck up and refill it that day!
