Quality Steel Corp. makes personnel changes for 2019

After more than 40 years of service to the propane industry as CEO of Quality Steel Corp., Jim Tims has retired and stepped away from day-to-day operations at the Mississippi tank manufacturing company. He will continue as chairman of the board of LT Corp., parent company of Quality Steel.

In addition, serving for more than 20 years in the propane industry as president of Quality Steel and an active member of the National Propane Gas Association, Virgil Mullins has transitioned from the president’s role to the role of adviser to senior management.

Sean Wessel, former CFO for Quality Steel, has accepted the dual responsibility of president and CEO going forward. Bill Monaghan, formerly corporate controller, succeeds Wessel as CFO.

With more than 35 years in the propane business, Don Miller, regional sales manager, will retire in March. He has worked for multiple propane companies, including American Welding & Tank and Quality Steel.

Ken Horton recently accepted the position of regional sales manager for Quality Steel. His areas of responsibility will include North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Minnesota, portions of Iowa and portions of Nebraska. Horton spent the past 12 years as an area sales manager for RES.
