What’s up, and what’s new?

McPherson has changed roles since LP Gas named him a Rising Leader four years ago. After serving as an assistant manager at Southern States, he joined Pico Propane and Fuels in 2022 as operations manager in Yanceyville, North Carolina, which happens to be his hometown. Last November, Pico promoted him to district manager, overseeing locations in Yanceyville and Siler City, North Carolina.

Those moves up the ladder coincide with McPherson’s growth as a leader. His latest role has him looking more at the big picture of the business and planning for the future.

McPherson says he stayed in the propane industry because he likes the pace of the job and has formed good friendships over the years.
