School busWest Virginia-based Monongalia County Schools committed four new propane autogas school buses to its fleet.

According to The Dominion Post, Monongalia County Schools became the first school district in West Virginia to add a propane-powered school bus to its fleet last August. The school district purchased one Blue Bird Propane Vision bus last year that runs on a Ford 6.8-liter V10 engine.

Jeff Meadows, director of transportation for Monongalia County Schools, says the bus purchased last summer has performed well across the state’s roads. He adds that the four new buses will likely be in service for students by October.
