Manual consolidation of business intelligence data is increasingly common as energy companies diversify their software, a sign that some legacy systems may not sync with modern software, according to Cargas Energy’s 2024 Top Technology Trends in Fuel Delivery report. Only 4.7 percent of respondents do not generate reports, down almost 3 percent from last year. Fewer respondents to the 2024 survey say they struggle to get business intelligence data compared to those who took the 2023 survey. Profit is the top key performance indicator (KPI). More than half of respondents noted that accounting and finance teams track performance information and generate reports. Eighty-seven percent of respondents use two or more KPIs to measure the success of their fuel delivery and HVAC service.
